Vineyard Manager Our client in the wine industry is looking to hire a Vineyard Manager to join their team in Swartland as soon as possible. What's included? Salary: R25 000 (after benefits) depending on experience Bakkie (transport) Accommodation on the farm Non-negotiable requirements: Vineyard management experience is a must. Code 10 or code 14 drivers licence essential Some experience with animal husbandry, particularly sheep and cattle would be a plus. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include working closely with the labour team (external). Ensuring all vineyard practices are undertaken timeously with a high degree of accuracy. Working closely with our grower vineyards to make sure that essential vineyard practices are being executed properly and in good time (approx 300km range). Vineyard health monitoring across all vineyards. Working with our viticulturist to develop spray programs and manage execution of programs. Ensuring maintenance of farming infrastructure and equipment, including tractors, implements, water infrastructure, buildings etc. Helping to truck grapes from various vineyards to Hermanus in harvest time.
