The Warehouse Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling and management of automotive parts and accessories within the dealership.
Position Overview: The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the dealership's warehouse operations. Reporting to the General Manager, the Warehouse Manager will lead a team of warehouse staff and implement best practices to optimize inventory management processes and ensure the timely availability of parts for vehicle servicing and sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring accurate inventory levels and proper stock rotation.
- Order Fulfillment: Coordinate with service, sales, and other departments to prioritize and fulfill orders for automotive parts and accessories, ensuring timely delivery to meet customer needs.
- Warehouse Organization: Develop and maintain efficient warehouse layouts, storage methods, and inventory systems to maximize space utilization and facilitate easy access to parts.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control processes to ensure the accuracy, condition, and completeness of automotive parts and accessories, minimizing errors and discrepancies.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate warehouse staff, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure high levels of productivity, accuracy, and teamwork.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and dealership policies, conducting regular safety inspections and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
- Vendor Relations: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to coordinate inbound shipments, resolve issues, and optimize procurement and inventory management processes.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and warehouse metrics, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction, leading initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and automotive parts.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of warehouse staff.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices for warehouse operations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, vendors, and customers.
