Reference: CPT002536-AK-1 To manage and control the warehouse in all aspects of the operation to ensure that the business processes are conducted efficiently on a daily basis. Should be proficient in planning, warehouse control, housekeeping and maintenance, budgeting as well as risk management and safety. Responsibilities: Establishes area that requires prioritization, in line with customer demands. Ensures that the IBT transport plan is executed according to the agreed plan, Makes sure loading process is completed on time, as per the service level agreements Ensures all trucks available are in good working order so that it is loaded and leaves on time with deliveries, at the correct conditions. Assures that notices are placed on the board informing drivers of times they start. Ensures that warehouse staff are aware of number of inbound vehicles by confirming the supplier deliveries Ensure all receipts have been been GRVed according to supplier documents Checks on a daily basis that staff on duty are working according to the checklist. Identifies areas of concern and communicates to the Logistics Manager. Reports daily to Regional Logistics Manager regarding activities on premises which includes number of trucks outbound and number of cases sold and transferred. Reports weekly on critical aspects of the operation such as damaged stock; inbound and outbound stock. Reports on the cost factors of the job – actual cost vs. budget. Submits a monthly report of the branch's expenses and profitability amongst other areas. Collaborates detail for month end report and presents to Logistics Manager for MBR. Ensures all inbound vehicles are off loaded on time to avoid delays. Makes sure all inbound procedures are followed. E.g. product temperature; and broken pallets. Checks that budgeting information is completed and communicated to HOD. Monitors timekeeping, service delivery and product integrit Requirements: 3-year tertiary qualification in Logistics and or related. A minimum of 3 – 5 years' experience in a similar managerial role within FMCG/Manufacturing industry. Supply chain or logistics background will be advantageous. Sound knowledge of SAGE system.
