Job Advert Summary WHO YOU ARE As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the inventory levels of the business and operations of the warehouse facilities. You will be responsible for managing and leading a team of employees, overseeing inventory management, and implementing safety procedures. Your main duties will include controlling the flow of supplies and devices, tracking, and analyzing inventory maintenance, and developing protocols for collections and retention. You will work closely with other department heads to ensure that company goals are met, and processes are optimized for maximum efficiency. Minimum Requirements SKILL REQUIREMENTS/PERSONAL COMPETENCIES Knowledge of supply chain management concepts, i.e. Plan, Source, Make, Deliver and Return Inventory management Organizational and logistics skills Strong team management experience Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proactive critical thinking and a team player Continuously look for service level and forecast accuracy improvement opportunities Ability to work in a dynamic, pressurized environment Experience with Microsoft Office with strong experience in Excel (Advanced) and PowerPoint (Basic) Excellent communication skills - both formal and informal Ability to communicate within all levels of the organization Strong negotiating skills EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Commerce in Supply Chain, Business Management or similar Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in retail or related industry Minimum 2 years of financial accountability and budget preparation Excellent analytical skills Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience and preferably experience in implementation Duties and Responsibilities WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT Overseeing warehouse employees 1 Warehouse Administrator 2 Warehouse Assistant 1 Picker Packer Manage schedules of employees, deliveries, and shipments to optimize operations Ensure that protocols are followed for device collections and retentions. Propose strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics Monitor demands and analyze data to anticipate future supply chain logistics Manage the distribution of devices to sales agents across the Regions Maintain adequate Inventory control around the dispatch and return of devices to and from sales agents Manage the recruitment and training of new warehouse employees Continuously assess bench strength within the Distribution team and develop plans to improve capability as required Train and develop the team to contribute productively to company service and cost goals Maintain direct reporting staff requirements, overtime, performance measurements, etc. Champion OH&S by maintaining a safe working place for all staff, contractors, and visitors involved in or coming into contact with the Distribution Manage all statutory and company staff requirements, including leave planning, etc. Ensure staff morale remains high through the inclusion of staff in operational decisions where appropriate, communication of results through visual KPIs, and celebration of success. Ensure employee issues are addressed promptly, decisively, and fairly with the inclusion of the HR Business Partner and Senior Management where appropriate. INVENTORY MANAGEMENT Managing inventory tracking system to record deliveries Examine the levels of devices to determine shortages Document daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments Evaluate new inventory to ensure readiness Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems Report on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency, and personnel issues to upper management Ensure timeous assessment of devices and returns to suppliers within Warranty periods COLLECTIONS AND RETENTIONS MANAGEMENT Together with Ops, Sales Management and MD, formulate and execute customer retention strategies Work with stakeholders to meet customer needs Nurture and maintain high performance/quality standards of sales support agents Manage statistical information to address customer retention and collections performance Monitor information received from sales agents regarding market, competitor, and customer movements, maintaining awareness in order to react effectively and proactively to these activities Apply Now
