Reference: JHB001847-MC-1Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry is seeking a versatile Workshop Supervisor to oversee the general operations of a warehouse and its staff. This role is pivotal in delivering excellence, meeting project timelines, and managing the warehouse. Minimum five years working experience in Operations/Packaging or a Warehouse Environment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee production planning, prioritisation, and resource allocation in collaboration with department managers. Control and improve labour budgets, ensuring efficiency and adherence to project timelines. Utilise the "DR system" for 100% closure of areas and projects, addressing shortages promptly. Implement and maintain Health and Safety Systems, ensuring operational safety targets are met. Create invoices on Quickbooks. Lead continuous improvement efforts, investigating and solving production problems. Monitor workshop errors and ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015 procedures. Manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficiency and productivity. Conduct weekly Workshop Team Planning Meetings, tracking progress against key metrics. Lead and develop the workshop team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Clock in system upkeep and corrections. Liase with customers concerning orders and emails. Requirements: Minimum five years of experience in operations/packaging/production. Minimum five years of managerial experience in a mid-size business. Strong track record of managing successful packaging teams. Excellent people management and coaching skills. Key Skills and Competencies: Strong track record of managing successful teams.
