Water Engineer - Flood Resilience - - Durban

An well established firm of consulting engineers is seeking a Water Engineer (Flood Resilience) to join their team in Durban, Cape Town or Johannesburg.

You will be working in a dynamic team working on innovative and exciting flood resilience and adaptation.

You will be integral to building, running and checking hydraulic models and developing high value and innovative solutions.

Requirements:

Civil Engineering or Natural Sciences degree
Professional registration with ECSA or SACNASP or willing to pursue professional registration
5 or more years working knowledge in flooding
Deep technical appreciation in hydraulic modeling, in particular fluvial flood risk management will be advantageous and strong hydrology background including impacts of climate change.
Expertise in HEC-RAS (1D, 1D/2D and 2D) or similar software
Knowledge of Flood Modeler Pro, Tuflow
Stormwater draining network modelling and design
