Web / Graphic Design Internship Opportunity - South Africa
We are looking for a young, creative and exciting Graphic & Web designer to join our creative team. ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS: Matric (Grade 12) Tertiary qualification preferably Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design or Relevant experience UNDERSTANDING / EXPERIENCE WITH DESIGN PROGRAMMES SUCH AS: Photoshop Deep Etching Graphics for web; InDesign – Know how to make catalogues and brochures; Illustrator – Know how to make graphics; Dreamweaver – Know how to design responsive and static websites; Knowledge of WordPress and/or Joomla; Inkscape/ Gimp/ Serif PagePlus X7; HTML and CSS; Ecommerce; Hosting Administration Experience; Advanced understanding of social media i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc; Correct understanding of current trends of marketing; Responsible and energetic person with high levels of accuracy; Ability to deliver & able to cope under pressure; High levels of attention to detail; Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal CORE DUTIES Meeting deadlines set at all times; Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts; Providing needed information such as quotes for material needed to accomplish tasks and estimated time needed to complete the task; Interpreting companies needs and developing concepts that suit their purposes; Do extensive research about the ins and outs of the industry and keeping abreast of emerging trends in the industry, particularly design programmes such as Photoshop, illustrator, Acrobat, Dreamweaver and InDesign; Gather knowledge about changes that will affect the company in the industry; Presenting, finalising ideas and concepts to the Management Team Working with the wide range of media, including photography and computer aided designs Proofreading to produce accurate and high quality work Demonstrating illustrate skills with rough sketches Working on layouts and art-working pages ready for print Updating the images and branding requires by the job and managing company social media such as Websites, Shopping centre information sites, Catalogues, Brochures, Social Media, In house mandatory material, Supplier and customer mandatory material Designing and implementing the newsletter for our clients, customers and loyalty members that will inform them about our trends and events and design in house newsletter that will monthly update the staff about changes, trends and events Creatively design artwork for brand launching using material such as CAD Illustration; T Shirt artwork; Logos and styling Understanding and implementation of the production and post-production of product catalogues How To Apply Email your Cover letter, CV, Certified copies of ID, Qualifications AND a PDF portfolio of your work to: jobskhayalakitsi.com OR Fax to: 086 202 3334 OR Hand Deliver at: Old Mutual Building, Office 419, 4th Floor, 17 Samora Machel Drive, Nelspruit, 1200 Location : Nelspruit Closing Date: 25 April 2014
