To provide welding support and maintenance services to the plant and site. Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions Operate safety equipment, and use safe work habits. Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques. Keep a proper record of all maintenance, repair and construction work. To guide, coach and mentor Apprentices. Identify and report on their training needs, progress and skills development. To liaise with production and workshop personnel in order to coordinate maintenance and repair jobs. Monitor the functioning of various plant and equipment and report the finding Order any required spares and materials from stores. Comply with Site specific safety regulations, procedures and Company rules. Comply with relevant safety regulations as prescribed in the OHS act.
