Hire Resolve is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Workshop Manager for our client, a leading trailer manufacturing company based in Heidelberg, Gauteng. As a Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the workshop, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring efficient and effective workflow in the manufacturing of trailers. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of workshop management processes and procedures, specifically in the trailer manufacturing industry. We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented individual who can drive performance, maintain high-quality standards, and achieve targets and deadlines in the trailer manufacturing process. Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of technicians and administrative staff in the manufacturing of trailers Manage technicians work load, performance, and work quality in the trailer assembly process Perform maintenance on manufacturing plant and equipment as required Stock management of critical spares for trailer production Manage control and standard of workshop equipment and housekeeping in the trailer manufacturing process Planning and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules for manufacturing equipment Implement and maintain health and safety procedures & ISO quality requirements in trailer production Initiate cost and manage critical improvement projects across all operational areas in the trailer manufacturing process Manage repairs and maintenance budget for trailer manufacturing Requirements Qualified Diesel Mechanic with 10 years experience on construction plant and equipment, with specific experience in the trailer manufacturing industry At least 5 years proven experience as a Workshop Manager or similar role in trailer manufacturing Demonstrated leadership and team management skills in a manufacturing environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in the trailer manufacturing process Sound knowledge of workshop management processes and procedures, specifically in trailer manufacturing Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects in the trailer production process Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting Proficient in MS Office for reporting and documentation Valid driver's license Benefits Salary negotiable Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.
