Manage the Workshop with multiple staff, machinery and equipment. Liaise with Internal and External customers. Attend pre plan meeting on board vessels. Plan and manage the effective utilization of labour and equipment/machinery. Perform preventative maintenance functions and adjustments on all types of equipment in compliance with manufacturers and company schedules. Preventative maintenance and ongoing maintenance plan on diagnosis and determine parts requirements to complete repairs. Prepare for Audits Control of oil, fuel, spares and tyre stocks with regular stock takes. Building electrical and plumbing maintenance General administration including all licensing requirements. Staff training and development. General administration i.e. EDMA scheduling / DWR's/incident reports Minimum of a matric (Grade 12) level of education. Qualified diesel Mechanic- Red Seal Qualification Minimum of 5 years' experience in a broad spectrum of various types of equipment in relation to maintenance and repairs Managing capacity of the workshop Experience with tyre management standards and systems. Experience with Oxy-Acetylene, CO2 and Arc welding. Experience with electrics. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. Experience with brake assembly systems. Valid Driver's License (C1/Code 8) is essential. Code CE will be an advantage. Must have good problem-solving skills and positive attitude.
