A Pharmacist - - Gauteng

Join our team as a Pharmacist in a dynamic healthcare setting with operating hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., three days per week. The Pharmacy is closed on Wednesday and Thursday. Responsibilities include dispensing pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical items to patients based on doctor-prescribed medications. Work closely with ward staff, ensuring trolleys are stocked with ordered items. Night schedule drug orders require attention, and monthly checks of the Drug Register against stock on hand are essential. Regularly monitor expiration dates and dispose of expired stock in the medical waste bin. Inspect and replenish emergency room stock weekly. Tuesday is dedicated to discharge medicine, usually supplied for seven days, with clear patient labelling. Attention to detail is crucial, marking medication bags with patient names and providing necessary notes for insulin prescriptions. Unpack incoming orders promptly. In emergencies, coordinate with nearby pharmacies if the requested item is unavailable. A commitment to maintaining pharmacy standards and patient safety is a must.
