Account Manager - Johannesburg

Role Overview: As a Client Account Manager with a focus on business development, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our client base. You will be the primary point of contact for our valued clients, responsible for maintaining and nurturing relationships, understanding their needs, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. In addition, you will actively pursue new business opportunities, prospecting and engaging potential clients to drive sales and business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients through regular communication and engagement.
  • Understand client objectives and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering insights and recommendations to optimize client success.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to acquire new clients and expand market reach.
  • Prospect and engage potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and industry events.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and market trends.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop customized proposals and pitches to win new business.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Matric
  • Sales/ IT qualification or a related field.
  • Proven experience in client relationship management, account management, and business development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and driving business growth.
