Account Manager - Ophthalmology - Randburg

Summary A regional sales manager is responsible for overseeing sales activities within a specific geographic area. Your primary goal is to achieve sales targets, increase revenue, and expand the customer base. Your required to possess a high level of technical knowledge and continually develop your understanding of the territory to provide tailored solutions and value-added insights to customers. Primary duties and responsibilities Proactively seek out new sales opportunities and follow up on leads provided. Identify potential customers and present product/service offerings to meet their needs. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Develop a deep understanding of our products/services and effectively communicate their features, benefits, and value proposition to customers. Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. Use market insights to identify opportunities for growth and stay ahead of the competition. Keep accurate records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and sales pipeline status. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations. Work closely with other members of the sales team, as well as with marketing, customer service, and other departments, to achieve company objectives and provide a seamless customer experience. Provide support to the ZEISS Cataract portfolio in South Africa on all OPT devices and related consumables. Support Key Opinion leaders in cataract surgery field. Key Performance Indicators IOL Sales target achievement Ophthalmology equipment sales target achievement Customer Acquisition Sales Pipeline Management Adherence to sales processes and policies Education / Professional Certification Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field Experience 3- 5 years professional experience in Medical Sales, ideally in the area of Ophthalmology Previous experience in sales, preferably in a B2B or B2C environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce software Knowledge and experience in the theatre environment. Excellent knowledge of the Ophthalmology market in the region. Knowledge / Skills / Other characteristics Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Working conditions & Other Attributes.
