Our client, a national packaging manufacturer, is looking for an ambitious and experienced young sales professional to join one of their divisional teams. The successful applicant will have strong financial and commercial acumen and a proven track record of being a skilled relationship builder. This role has extensive potential for future growth within the company. Commercial Aid in establishing the Annual Operating Budget with regional executives. Manage stock levels to prevent shortages. Maintain up-to-date customer price tables and issue price increases promptly. Assist in developing forecasting models aligned with the budget. Keep records of raw material pricing and monitor price movements. Collaborate with internal ERP (SAP) team. Maintain master data integrity. Account Management Manage select customer accounts, ensuring day-to-day communication and support. Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships to foster long-term partnerships. Identify and capitalize on new opportunities within the industry. Coordinate all communication with accounts, monitoring sales, customers, and competitors. Present professional price proposals to customers, with support from the regional Sales Executive. Maintain a comprehensive database of all communications for relevant accounts. Liaise with Production, Planning, and Design departments to meet client needs. Oversee the entire process from ordering to delivery, ensuring exceptional service. Ensure effective stock management and timeous customer forecast delivery to the planning team. Ensure all account and customer events are organised, implemented and coordinated Attend customer-specific meetings when required. A degree, diploma or related sales/financial tertiary qualification High proficiency in MS Excel and in SAP (advantageous) A strong financial and commercial aptitude Have strong relationship-building and communication skills at all levels. An ability to adapt to change quickly and effectively. An ability to see opportunities and turn them into reality. An ability to “ hard sell ” when necessary and influence others at all levels.
