Scope of Role: An accountant at Our Client plays an enormous role in the managing and up-keeping of the financial operations of Huge Distribution, while also managing the daily activities of the business operations. Responsibilities: Bookkeeping and Financial reporting: Manage all aspects of bookkeeping for Our Client. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using the company's accounting software WebAccounting. Preparing monthly management accounts submitted to owners of Our Client Preparing annual financial statements and handling all audit related queries and submissions. Receipt, accounting and up-keeping of all inventories. Monthly payments of Our Clients local and international suppliers. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and maintaining of annual and monthly budgets for Our Client. Provide financial analysis and recommendations it support budgeting decisions. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis reports. Generating and updating company cashflows projections. Assist in forecasting future financial performance. Assist in forecasting local and international inventory procurement. Assist in costings of inventory. Tax and VAT compliance: Preparation of VAT and Tax returns for Our Client and submission to Our Clients's accountants. Income Tax, VAT & Payroll taxes. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines. Respond to tax inquiries and assist with tax audits when necessary. Payroll: Ensuring the payment of employees. Currently 7 monthly employees. Calculate monthly sales commissions. Creating salary sheets and reports shared with the owners. Gathering and maintaining employee records. Tracking employee leave. Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Handling the annual Department of Labour Law visit and preparing all necessary records. Generating and sharing IRP5 and reconciliation between EMP201 & EMP501. Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. Generate customised financial reports for the owners Identify opportunities for cost saving and revenue generation. Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for all account/financial related queries. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and support. Collection of outstanding debts. Address client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Office Duties: Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies. Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure performance. Procurement of office supplies. Assist colleagues whenever necessary. Apply Now
