Accountant - Pretoria
Purpose of the Position
To perform accounting and tax related duties, manage an accounting portfolio and provide insight, and review of the portfolios month to month.

To perform accounting and tax related duties, manage an accounting portfolio and provide insight, and review of the portfolios month to month.
Responsibilities
- Full accounting function up until trial balance (Individual companies and groups)
- Produce client management reports and annual budgets
- Accounting budget planning and management
- Calculation and submission of tax returns (PAYE, VAT, Provisional tax, Income tax)
- Maintain excellent client relationships
- Maintaining of company secretarial records
- Ensuring that deadlines are met
- Monthly and bi-weekly payroll processing (Permanent staff and wages)
- Workmans Compensation submissions
- SARS and Labour Department statutory queries
- Qualified SAIPA / AGA (SA)
- 1 2 years post-article experience (Beneficial)
- A thorough knowledge of IFRS for SMEs, IFRS, and taxation
- Strong administrative skills
- Taking initiative/being pro-active
- Team player
- Adherence to principles and values
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to demonstrate and exercise sound judgment skills
- Planning and organizational skills
- Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) administration (Beneficial)
- Basic computer software knowledge (Xero, Pastel, Excel, Outlook)
- Own reliable transportation with valid driving license
