Candidate Requirements:

  • A BCom in Accounting is required
  • At least 2 years of experience in an Accounting position
  • Must be proficient with MS Office
  • Should have advanced excel experience (pivot table, vlookups)
  • Must have experience using Panstrat or Microsoft Access
  • Knowledge of Pastel is advantageous
  • Must have excellent analysis and problem solving skills
  • Should be well organized, efficient and with a keen eye for detail
  • Must be willing to work with diverse personalities in a challenging environment
  • Should have excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal)
  • Must be a team player and able to work with wide range of people
Key Duties:
  • Support Lodge Bookkeepers, administrators, managers, and directors with queries and training.
  • Prepare and review South African lodge balance sheets, monthly journals, and management accounts.
  • Assist with quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, year-end audits, and maintain Capex tracking.
  • Ensure accurate data extraction, complete month-end processes, and conduct variance analysis.
  • Liaise with advisors and tax authorities, maintain fixed asset register, perform bank reconciliations, and handle ad hoc tasks.
