Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Assist operations management in reducing costs and improving profit through close analysis and reporting of financial data, especially focusing on deviations from the budget.
- Maintain accurate records of company accounts in strict accordance with legal and unit office requirements.
- Effectively coordinate audits and take prompt corrective action where necessary to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Ensure the smooth and accurate processing of creditors' payments.
- Ensure debtors are correctly and accurately invoiced, with payments received in a timely manner.
- Accurately and timely meet the accounting needs of internal customers, fostering positive relationships and delivering exceptional service.
- Build a competent and motivated team of accounting staff through confident and caring leadership.
- Ensure strict compliance with all accounting-relevant company policies and procedures.
- Keep up to date with all relevant changes in tax and accounting regulations, ensuring the organization remains fully compliant.
- Submit accurate statutory returns by deadlines to meet legal requirements.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team or independently to deliver high-quality standards consistently and accurately.
Qualifications and Skills Needed:
- BCom degree in Financial Accounting
- 4 years' experience in a similar role as an Accountant
