Responsibilities:- Bulk Wine Management:
- Manage, update, and reconcile Excel-based Bulk Wine System continuously, aligning with SAWIS and other regulatory requirements.
- Invoicing and proactive communication with customers.
- Preparation of customer statements and follow-up on payments.
- Support cash flow management initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date wine procurement records and contracts with bulk wine customers.
- Record and report bulk wine exports and bottling liters in ERP system (Microsoft Business Central) for BOM purposes.
- Conduct audits at external wineries to ensure accurate bulk wine reconciliations.
- Reconcile all bulk wine stock and report any discrepancies.
- Capture and report on bulk wine losses.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Work closely with SAWIS inspectors during audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Complete monthly returns and reports as required.
- Assist the head winemaker with bulk wine audits.
- Financial Support:
- Calculate monthly excise for bulk wine and assist with Excise returns.
- Monthly reconciliation of bottled stock at various warehouses.
- Monitor and report on slow-moving and excess stock.
- Logistics and Inventory:
- Support logistics department with ERP system tasks, including stock picking and export documentation.
- Coordinate with production teams to maintain accurate stock levels and prevent delays.
- Debtors Function:
- Manage full debtors function to ensure timely payments and maintain good customer relationships.
Requirements:- Proven experience in a similar role within the wine or beverage industry.
- Matriculation
- Accounting or related tertiary studies will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus).
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the wine industry, particularly SAWIS standards, is preferred.
