Accountant - Somerset West

My client in the property management and development sector has a great opportunity for a detail-oriented and skilled Accountant to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial records and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, statements, and records
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Reconciling bank statements and general ledgers
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare and analyze financial information
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
  • Support the auditing process and maintain internal controls
  • Collaborate with seniors on financial planning and analysis
  • Stay updated on industry and regulatory changes to ensure compliance

Requirements:

  • BComm Accounting or similar qualification
  • SAIPA Articles or 2-3 years of financial accounts processing experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
