Duties:- Handle daily accounting tasks, such as processing invoices for debtors and suppliers, managing the cash book, reconciling accounts, and authorizing payments
- Regularly review cash flow forecasts
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly
- Process and follow up on monthly debtor statements, focusing on overdue accounts
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Assist in preparing for the annual audits
- Ensure timely submission and payment of all tax returns, and handle communications with SARS for any queries
- Oversee the Payroll Administrator's work to ensure payroll is accurate, current, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations, including the Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations Act, IFRS for SMEs, Companies Act, and Income Tax Act
- Manage secretarial duties, ensuring timely submissions and that all necessary resolutions and minutes are prepared and up-to-date
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Oversee the companys insurance policy
- Manage the export process, including preparing commercial and relevant documents and arranging shipping containers
- Perform general office management tasks
Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:- Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom Accounting
- Registered AGA(SA) / Professional Accountant (PA)
Experience:- Completed SAICA / SAIPA Articles
- 3 - 5 years of practical work experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and taxation laws
Skills & Competencies:- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and engineering
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to upholding the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality in financial matters
