Accountant - - Port Elizabeth

Overview / Purpose of the job:

The accountant is responsible for the financial function including the preparation of monthly reports, reconciliations and accruals, the posting of month-end journals, budgeting, and forecasting. The accountant is also responsible for providing a costing analysis of the various processes within the relevant divisions.

Minimum requirements:

Grade 12
CA(SA) qualification Experience
3 Years’ experience within the FMCG industry
5 Years’ experience in management accounting
Financial Reporting experience
Costing experience
Ability to understand and implement complex finance solutions
Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple issues simultaneously
Strong communication skills and ability to influence outcomes at all levels and across disciplines
Great time management skills
Ability to work independently

Job Responsibilities:

Accountant to managers
Preparation of monthly reports, i.e. Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Cost to Serve, and other management reports
Process month-end journals
Financial Forecasting and Budgeting
Statutory Returns and Legislative Compliance - Stats SA
Assist in ensuring effective internal controls
Monthly cash flow update
Maintaining audit files
Ad Hoc projects
Unqualified external audit reports
