Our client is an internationally recognised grower, packer and exporter of citrus fruit and table grapes. Their farms and pack houses are situated across the Western Cape, with their head office in Bellville. They have a vacancy for a Fruit Accountant Assistant at their head office in Bellville. This office-based fixed term (temporary) position will report to the Fruit Accountant and is available immediately. Responsibilities: Preparation of various producer reports Reconcile and maintain cost invoices to be deducted from producer payments Review accuracy of various financial sources used in liquidations Maintain grower reconciliation and interest calculation files Perform profit/loss on consignment reconciliations upon completion of liquidations Communication with producers and pack houses Sundry duties as may be required from time to time Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification 2 - 3 years' experience in bookkeeping Computer literate with advanced knowledge of MS Excel Relevant knowledge of computer systems (accounting and exports) Ability to work independently, take quick and accurate decisions and be able to meet deadlines Strong administrative skills and attention to detail Good interpersonal and communication skills The following will count in your favour: Consignment accounting, cost chains and incoterms, fruit industry experience By Submitting your information and application you hereby confirm: That you have read and understood our Privacy Policy ( www.hopcal.co.za ).
