We are currently recruiting an experienced accountant to join the team, We are a diversified company specialising in managing agencies. We are based in the heart of Stamfordhill, Durban The candidate will report directly to the general manager The accountant's job description may include the below but is not limited to: Submission of EMP201s Monitoring and updating EMP201 checklist Preparation and submission of VAT201s Monitoring and updating VAT201 checklist Maintenance and update of group loan matrix Preparation and monitoring of monthly and daily cash flow (Group balances/Monthly budget/Daily budgets) Releasing payments on banking platforms Monitoring and updating of weekly accounts checklist and ensuring work is kept up to date accordingly Monitoring and updating cashbook checklist (ensuring they are completed by the due dates) Monitoring and updating audit checklist and assisting with scheduling audit dates Monitoring and updating tax return and provisional return checklist (ensuring submissions are made timeously) Monitoring and updating EAAB checklist (ensuring submissions are made timeously) Cash book capturing Processing of journals Maintenance of general ledgers Maintenance of customers and suppliers Maintenance of trial balance Checking and authorising relevant sales agency and entity expenses, ensuring compliance with policy and procedures Preparation of sales agency and other entities monthly management accounts Preparation of audit schedules when required 2 - 3 years of experienced role Highly numerate, well organised, accurate and with attention to detail A strong team player that is self motivated and confident in setting up new processes Quick learner and able to adapt to new systems quickly and effectively Excellent communication skills Computer literate in Pastel Sage, ms office, Sars e-filing A tertiary education in BAccounting or Bcom TBD
