Our client is looking for an Accountant to join their team. Financial reporting: prepare and analyse financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for the branch. Budgeting and forecasting: assist in the preparation of the branch's annual budget and forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis. Accounts payable and receivable: manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for the branch, including processing invoices, making payments, and following up on outstanding receivables. Inventory management: monitor and reconcile inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Cost control: analyse costs and expenses to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Financial compliance: ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Prepare and submit financial reports to regulatory agencies as required. Internal controls: implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial data. Financial analysis: conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes, such as pricing strategies, investment decisions, and resource allocation. Audit support: to support decision-making processes, such as pricing strategies, investment decisions, and resource allocation. Collaborate with other departments and branch management to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives. Coordinate with the central payroll department to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for branch employees. Manage cash flow for the branch, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing cash utilisation. Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by branch management or corporate headquarters.
