The purpose of his role is to take ownership of all administrative responsibilities in relation to commodity/foreign exchange trade administration. To ensure that all trades are captured on a timeous and accurate manner. This will include compliance monitoring against relevant policies. Systems Implementation and Maintenance Act as implementation specialist for the implementation of any new hedging systems (TriplePoint), as well as ongoing deal position management within this system. Continuous reporting improvements Trading Administration and Reporting Responsible to provide operational support to Traders / Front Office deal teams in relation to inventory / cash / derivative / other hedging activities. This includes trade data management, trade monitoring and reporting, market matching and transactions settlement Liaising with Finance / Traders / Managing Director for accurate recording of daily position Profit and Loss reporting Prepare and manage the general ledger system of all hedge accounts Maintain unwind schedule for seed crushed to ensure timeous unwinding of hedges and accurate seed exposure Assist with ad hoc requests from internal customers and management Reconcile cash positions with external sources to ensure financial accuracy Assist traders with application process for new clients and suppliers Collaborate with brokers and agents regarding admin & statement enquiries Risk Management Ongoing management of business risks in relation to hedging activities in comparison to the approved Company hedging policy Daily reporting of compliance against Company hedging policy Perform stress testing on a continuous basis to highlight potential hedging related risks to the business Maintain a hedging journal to ensure all changes in hedging strategies are recorded Consult with auditors and regulators during external audits or inspections Loading of NCs for non-compliance situations regarding hedge exposure or policy deviations Commercial Contract Management Monitoring of open forex / commodity contracts (incl. Sales and Procurement related) to ensure timeous completion as per contractual terms Ensure that all hedges against contracts are correctly managed and matched Ensure that all contracts are accounted for in the hedging system Calculate storage and interest cost on overdue contracts Health and Safety Participate in safety forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talks. Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management Report all safety incidents to the relevant people Attend safety education and refresher programmes Comply with safety policies and procedures at SOILL Distribute safety information as and when required Always wear protective clothing (where applicable) Qualification and Experience B.
