The Accountant is expected to play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of the company, offering financial insights to senior management, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and providing efficient financial reporting. The individual should have a strong background in finance, accounting and experience with relevant software tools like Sage Pastel Evolution and Excel. Additionally, they should be able to handle the demands of a high-pressure work environment and possess excellent communication and management skills Looking for a young dynamic person with a min of 5 years experience Job Purpose : •Manage accounting functions of the company. •Prepare and analyse management accounts. •Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management. •Handle financial reporting, including management accounts. •Generate stock reports and perform analysis. •Create cash forecasts and participate in budgeting. •Oversee the Debtors department. •Assist Financial Directors with reports. •Manage inter-company transactions. •Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities : •Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management. •Work effectively in a high-pressure environment. •Possess strong reconciliation skills. •Demonstrate good communication skills. •Exhibit management skills. Hold a finance qualification with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment Possess strong knowledge of SARS returns. Have a strong understanding of accounting principles. Have experience in using Sage Pastel Evolution accounting software. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Be self-disciplined and self-motivated. Thrive in a high-pressure work environment. Work well under pressure. Display independent thinking and innovation. Negotiable on qualifications and experience
