A well-established accounting practice based in Westville requires an accountant to join their team. Perform monthly bookkeeping up to trial balance, management accounts and payroll for clients. Responsible for calculating VAT, PAYE and other necessary SARS requirements on a monthly basis. Perform high-level accounting duties. Preparing accounting work relating to compilations of annual financial statements. Preparation and Review of financial statements in CaseWare. Compilations of Annual Financial Statements on CaseWare. Perform high level tax compliance. Preparation and Review of management accounts. Writing up of more complex accounting records of clients. Review monthly bookkeeping / VAT clerks. Responsible for calculating VAT, PAYE and other necessary SARS requirements on a monthly basis. Reconcile Debtors and Creditors on a monthly basis. Payroll and other monthly reviews Reviewing work done by supervised staff before partner review, where applicable. Ad hoc accounting and tax work Maintain excellent client relationships. Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Accounting or similar. Partial or completed SAICA, SAIPA or CIMA articles. AGA(SA) or PA(SA) an advantage. Experience with CaseWare, Xero, Pastel, Sage. R20 000 - R25 000
