Accountant/Bookkeeper - - Johannesburg

Our client in Bryanston, JHB is seeking a passionate and committed Accountant Bookkeeper to join their team and contribute to the success of our mission.

Responsibilities:

Pastel – Processing, monitoring and checking all Pastel related postings.
Opening of Bank Accounts and bank queries and FICA requirements for the companies.
Dealing with all external parties regarding Tax queries, Tax Clearance Certificates, VAT Audits etc.
Maintaining a well-documented system of financial records.
Responsible for loading payments.
Prepare the year-end financial accounts and records for the annual audit and liaise with the Auditors prior to sign-off.
Ensure the overall smooth running of the Company’s internal administration and its cost effectiveness.
Efficiently manage all external contractors and ensure that all the Company’s expenditure is correctly authorized and accounted for.
Responsible for Compliance Issues, i.e. Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, Employment Equity including all related functions, Basic Conditions of Employment and Labour Relations.
Dealing with external parties i.e. Recruitment Agencies, Labour Brokers, Medical Scheme Brokers, BEE Verification Agencies, Banking Institutions etc.
