Accounts Payable Controller - - Johannesburg

Are you a meticulous finance professional with a keen eye for detail? My client is looking for an Accounts Payable Controller to join their team!
This position is based in Sandton.

Duties:

Verification and Query Resolution:
Collecting invoices and statements efficiently through our central SharePoint portal.
Thoroughly reviewing and authenticating invoices and payment requests.
Utilizing advanced matching techniques to align invoices with purchase orders and goods received vouchers.
Promptly resolving discrepancies between vendor statements and our accounting systems, ensuring timely payments and adherence to compliance standards.

Vendor Reconciliation and Reporting:
Conducting comprehensive reconciliations to detect and rectify disparities between vendor and company records, minimizing errors and optimizing financial processes.
Completing regular top-tier reconciliations and addressing any anomalies in accordance with established protocols.
Ensuring meticulous balance between accounts payable ledgers and general ledger accounts, with a commitment to investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Facilitating smooth month-end closing processes and providing vital support for audits.

Vendor Payments:
Facilitating seamless payment cycles by meticulously preparing documentation and adhering to internal protocols and payment terms.
Generating and delivering detailed remittance advice to vendors on a weekly basis, ensuring transparency and accuracy in payment transactions.
Conducting precise account allocations in our Sage system to reconcile payments with invoices, guaranteeing accurate financial records and efficient operations.
