Actuarial Specialist - - Johannesburg

This company is the leading consulting firm in concepts such as Statutory reporting, Capital Optimization, and Reinsurance as well as pricing models. The General Insurance division of this firm also is responsible for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Capital Management, and Data Analytics. You will be tasked with the following:

Capital Modelling such as economic capital models, challenger models, and SAM Solvency.
Reinsurance reviews
Product pricing and design
ORSA calculations
Reviewing technical provisions including IBNR, UPR, and AURR
Involvement in IFRS 17 projects
Strategic input to clients and drive projects

Qualifications and Experience Required:

BSc in Actuarial Science
5-8 years experience in General Insurance either in Pricing, Reserving or capital modelling
Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary
Working knowledge of concepts such as SAM, ORSA, Valuations, and Solvency Calculations
