Customer Service/Support Location Durban, South Africa Job Title: Advisor - Collections Job Description We’re searching for experienced and professional Collections Advisors, representing a leading UK energy provider, handling inbound and outbound calls to existing customers who are in debt. We offer full-time permanent jobs, based in our state-of-the-art office at 6 The Terrace, Westway Office Park, Westville, Durban 3629. Successful applicants must be fully flexible for rotational shift patterns between 9am - 9pm Monday – Friday and 10am – 3pm Saturday. We offer a competitive salary PLUS fantastic bonus earning potential Our Collection Advisors are responsible for: Dealing with both outbound & inbound calls from customers who are in debt with the responsibility of the collection of those associated debts. Contact customers and discuss unresolved issues on customer accounts. Understanding root cause behind debt and implementing payment plans to recover debt as quickly & sustainably as possible. Attempting to recover the debt owed – either in full or partially Providing the best possible customer experience. Your Skills To be considered for this role, you need to have the following: 6 months collections or direct sales experience Fluent in English language (B2 Level or above) Target driven Good at multi-tasking Natural flair with conversation and negotiation Empathetic but resilient when speaking to customers Problem-solving skills Ability to navigate multiple systems at one time Ability to always remain calm and professional You will also be required to undertake background checks (including credit, employment, criminal) and consent to drug and alcohol testing (during employment) before starting in the role.
