The Aftersales Technician will be responsible for: Conduct onsite installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of ground support equipment, including aircraft tractors, baggage loaders, and towbarless aircraft movers.Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of ground support equipment, both in the workshop and at customer sites.Provide technical training and support to customers and internal teams on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries, resolve technical issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.Maintain accurate records of service activities, including equipment maintenance logs, service reports, and spare parts inventory.Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to ground support equipment.Travel to customer sites within South Africa, as well as occasional travel to other African countries and the Indian Ocean region, to provide onsite support and training as needed.Adhere to quality standards, safety protocols, and service policies at all times.Job OfferMarket-Related The Aftersales Technician will meet the following profile: Technical diploma or equivalent qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, preferably in the aviation or ground handling industry.Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain necessary travel documents for international assignments.Must reside in Gauteng.
