Agrinet, a subsidiary of Suidwes, is a supplier of an extensive range of branded products and related services to the agricultural, hardware, irrigation as well as the industrial sector in Africa. The primary focus is the continued optimisation of the value chain, which stretches from the manufacturer to the retailer and the direct involvement in the improvement of retail shops in Agrinet’s supply chain. Job Title: Irrigation Representative Contract Type: Permanent Location: Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa Specification Responsible for sales, training and technical support to clients on the Agrinet range of Irrigation and related products. Responsibilities: Sales of Agrinet’s range of irrigation products. Provide training at regional and retail store level. Sales through alternative product recommendations. Advise customers on suitable irrigation solutions. Give technical support regarding pump selection. To develop a service area through new customers and new markets. Thorough reporting and administration. Following up of inquiries and solving administrative problems. To manage sales according to drawn budget. Support Sales Manager and representatives in relevant area to grow market share. Requirements Minimum: Grade 12 with a qualification in Civil and/or specialized courses in Irrigation. SABI level 1 completed. OR Minimum: 3 years sales experience with at least 2 years technical irrigation sales experience. Preferred: Advanced technical knowledge of irrigation components, parts, pumps, engines and systems and SABI level 3 completed. Valid driver’s licence (must be prepared to travel). Skills Proven computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel – Intermediary). Knowledge of and experience in the company’s operating system [ACS Embrace]. Multilingual with the ability to be able to communicate at all levels (speak, read and write Afrikaans and English). Proven negotiating skills. Knowledge Thorough knowledge of irrigation products is a prerequisite, and thorough knowledge of Agrinet’s product range will be advantageous. Behavioral competencies Investigating issues.
