DUR002051– AGRONOMIST (EASTERN CAPE) Purpose of the Job: Reporting to the Technical Manager, the position calls for an Agronomist to lead sales. Required Qualifications BSc Soil Science, Horticulture, Plant Physiology/ Agronomy Approved in BASOS (FERTASA) Technical Competencies & Experience: 3-5 Years of experience in a similar position Proven experience in field trials management and customer prospecting Experience in ensuring the sales process: inclusion of the order, planning of delivery within the necessary time, and monitoring of the payment of the order, aiming to increase sales and satisfy customers. Knowledge of the methodology for assembling, conducting, & harvesting fields trials Knowledge of presentation techniques in a clear and assertive way Drivers’ license MS Office advanced skills (mainly Power Point & Excel) Behavioural Competencies: Bilingual: English & Afrikaans – verbal & written Organization and responsibility Ability to identify scenarios & correlate with opportunities Good interpersonal relationships with customers & dealers Ability to cope with pressure, volatile environment & unplanned demands in quiet & balanced manner Remuneration: Market-related IMPORTANT - Only shortlisted candidates meeting the above criteria will be considered.
