Must have an Honours/Masters degree in Agronomy Soil Science Plant Production
Minimum 5 years relevant Agronomy experience would be required
Knowledge of compilation of fertilizer programs is essential
Knowledge and experience of onions would be an advantage
Above-average communication skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels and experience are essential
Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to clients
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Preparing and co-ordinating varietal screening trials in multiple crops, including but, not exclusively Onions.
Handling of complaints and supplying support and feedback to the Sales team in this regard.
Providing weekly feedback to the Managing Director.
Co-ordinating and providing product training.
Presenting and assisting at farmers' days and agricultural expos.
Interpreting data collected from various trials.
Writing articles for newsletters, magazines and marketing materials.
Conducting farmers' visits with the Production Advisors.
Managing and evaluating commercial trials.
Providing technical support to Production Advisors, Area Managers and Farmers.
