Reference: PTA001082-EV-1An established supplier of Agricultural products is seeking an experienced Senior Agronomist to provide technical advice and effective customer service to all Citrus Customers, with the aim to increase sales and to ensure profitability. Minimum requirements for the role: Must have an MSc in Agronomy/Entomology/Mycology or similar qualification BASOS and AVCASA certifications will be an advantage Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience in Citrus is essential Must have knowledge of sales cycles for Agricultural Chemicals and Fertilizer products Good communication skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, will be required Must be computer literate with strong presentation skills to be able to facilitate, prepare and deliver reports and presentations Knowledge and experience in setting up effective pest control and fertilization programs on different citrus cultivars will be required Must have a proven record in relation to integrity, results and service within the industry Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel, mainly in the Eastern Cape region The successful candidate will be responsible for: Providing professional customer service, ensuring overall customer satisfaction. Establishing relations with customers and employees based on the values defined by the company. Accomplishing periodic visits to customers, aiming to understand the needs, offer solutions after analysis, and validate the solutions with the team. Prospecting new customers in the region. Ensuring overall growth in market share and profitability of the branch. Maintaining good knowledge of product lines and providing correct advice to customers. Providing good administrative control according to the requirements of sales policies and procedures. Submitting timely reports (activities, visits and flows) and prior weekly schedules of activities. Ensuring collaboration with all departments of the company to meet deadlines with quality. Sharing results and good practices, and communicating initiatives to increase teamwork.
