Robert Walters South Africa What you'll do: As an Alternative Investment Specialist, you will be at the heart of our client's operations . You will be responsible for building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders as well as select local external institutional investors. Your role will involve delivering a hig h level of post-investment service to existing clients, ensuring that they are kept informed and satisfied. You will also play a crucial part in enhancing the company's market profile by working closely with marketing and communication teams. Build and strengthen existing relationships with key internal and select domestic external institutional investors Deliver high level of post-investment service to existing clients Ensure regular communication and information sharing on client activity with other units Represent and complement the investment teams in external engagements Enhance the company's market profile, working closely with marketing and communication teams Develop and update investment collateral for each capability Ensure product information and data is available on external vendor or manager research databases Deliver content related to regular and ad hoc institutional investor engagements Provide regular and ongoing training to client and market-facing units keeping them informed of company activity Execute fundraise campaigns across the company, working closely with investment teams What you bring: The ideal candidate for this Alternative Investment Specialist role will bring a wealth of experience and a strong academic background along with a deep understanding of the Alternatives fund management environment, the corporate landscape, service providers and key needs of institutional investors. Undergraduate degree , preferably commercial or finance, such as B.Com, B.Bus.Sc Relevant postgraduate qualification would be advantageous, such as CFA, MBA At least 5 years' institutional market-facing experience in an Alternatives fund management environment Understanding of the corporate landscape , service providers and key needs of institutional investors Ability to apply knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance organisational goals Ability to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm Effective communication skills - developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences What sets this company apart: Our client is committed to building strong, lasting relationships with their employees.
