Qualifications/ Experience RequiredMatricB Com Accounting or similar Accounting degree/ qualification essentialMS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook experience - strong MS Excel skills essentialSAP experience advantageousMinimum of 3-5 years experience in a financial accounting roleDuties include:Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close and ensuring that the monthly packs, journals and recons have been prepared with the expected high standard of quality and accuracyPrepare journals emanating from the system accruals, ensuring that the coding is correct and review the accruals previously processed to avoid duplicationsPrepare and upload journals resulting from the branch as well as financial and business controller reviewsPrepare monthly reconciliation of accounts with appropriate supportcomments for financial controller reviewsPrepare the Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly and advise on any risks and/or opportunities and assess for any process improvementsUpload data into financial reporting system and prepare comments for the ControllersPerform PL reviewsMaintain Fixed and leased asset ledgers and recons, identifying areas for process improvementComplete and submit monthly reporting packsEnsure that the month end checklists are actioned ensuring the timely reporting of all monthly financial information, and update these where applicableSupport budget and forecasting activities.Support the Controllers Financial and BusinessWork with the credit department to ensure all IC Transactions are processed in accordance with the Group finance manualGood working knowledge of Tax, including VAT, WHT and income tax etcGood working knowledge of foreign currency translations and revaluationsWork with the Compliance Department to ensure a clean and timely year end auditAnalyze their duties to develop more efficient procedures resulting in a high level of accuracy, reliability & complianceAd hoc duties and projects for senior managementAttributes requiredMust be controls and process focusedMust be able to work well under pressure and deliver on deadlinesGood understanding of financial statements and reportsMust have a valid and unendorsed drivers licenseMust be a team playerMust possess good time management skillsAbility to work long hours of overtime over month end when necessary and must be able to adapt easily to deadlinesSelf-Starter who will use own initiativeLiaise with AP, AR, CM and senior managementExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to identify and solve problemsGood working knowledge of Excel https://protool.gumtree.co.za/external-link-browser.html?urlaHR0cHM6Ly9lbi16YS53aGF0am9icy5jb20vY29vcG9iX19jcGxfX18xMTA5XzE4ODEzMV9fNDk3P3V0bV9zb3VyY2U9Z3VtdHJlZSZ1dG1fbWVkaXVtPWZlZWQma2V5d29yZD0&jid1793612&xid1109_188131
