Anglo American Plc recruits Section Geologist D1 Job No.: 675316 Division: AAPLC Platinum (South Africa) Site:Amandelbult – Tumela Mine Department: Geology Work type: Full Time Permanent Location: Limpopo Primary Job Purpose The Section Geologist is responsible for providing a specialist Geological service to the mine in respect of mining the ore body on a shaft. Key Performance Area Maintaining and developing geological standards to support the achievement of optimum grade Review and advise on the maximum exploitation of the ore body Contribute to the effectiveness of the ERD team Minimum Requirements (Applicants must provide certified copies of all relevant qualifications) Appropriate Tertiary Geology qualification Code 08 Drivers License Evaluation experience will be an advantageous Post qualification experience in mining geology (2 years) Post qualification experience in Bushveld and platinum geology (2 years) Sound knowledge pertaining to geology and mining Sound knowledge pertaining to applicable legislation (Legal, Health and safety) Sound knowledge pertaining to Occupational Hygiene principles Computer literate: MS Office and discipline specific software (Datamine and Sable) Certificate of Fitness Anglo Platinum shall apply the Employment Equity principles as set out in Anglo Platinum’s Employment Equity Policy Incomplete CV’s and/or applications will not be considered.
