The Apprentice w ill be responsible to assist qualified Auto Electricians and Field Service by maintaining and repairing of equipment as well as machinery according to maintenance requirements. Apprentice-Auto Electricians will also go through the business process of qualifying as an Auto electrician by completing 18 months on the job training for trade test compliance. Assist in Maintenance and Repairs , breakdowns and installations. Assist in fault finding and understand all equipment and machinery. Work and if required , standby on two sections machinery and LDV's . Assist in daily inspections and maintenance with Auto Electricians. Assist in repair and replace equipment as per OEM standards. Knowledge on equipment to repair for companies. Assist in replacing old equipment. Inspect and test all functions of equipment. Assist in installations of systems CAS. Communicate with customers and explain the nature of repairs and discuss possible options . Standby and call outs on CAS( if required ) . Working on LDV and earth moving machinery, dump trucks, track dozer, loader, excavator, grader etc. as assistance to Auto's. Automotive work 12V-24V only. Listening and gaining knowledge from the mentoring and coaching of service Manager and Auto Electricians. Policies and Procedures Adhere to policies and procedures. Complete job cards accurately and as per the mine standards. Fill in timesheets accurately. Adhere to Policies and Procedures as well as confidentiality agreements. Staff Development and Growth Complete IDP and drive your own IDP, Ensure attendance of performance reviews each quarter and submission of relevant evidence ; Ensure attendance of Safety & HR Induction . Grade 12 with mathematics and Physical science N2 engineering studies . N2 Trade Certificate (18 months) Knowledge on mining equipment , Electrical working experience will be added advantage Driver's License Code 8 (B) Communication skills Acting as a team player Strong work ethic Ability to accept & learn from criticism Positive attitude.
