MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

KEY RESONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Responsible for the crop estimation process: liaise with farm managers to obtain all information, consolidate information and link with Supply Chain to convey information for planning purposes. Continuously update information as estimation changes.
Together with the relevant role players initiate; plan; coordinate and implement the
Fertilizer program
Irrigation program
Spray program
Prune program
Manage projects when appropriate
Harvesting plan it is important that the Area Manager plays a strong leadership role to ensure that harvesting is happening as required. The Area Manager must also constantly liaise with supply chain and the pack house to ensure the coordination between harvesting, packing and shipping
Prepare, submit and manage the farming budget.
Promote best practices and technology to farm managers
Compliance responsibilities for example, HSE, audit requirements, etc.
Responsible for the farm maintenance plan
Set, implement and manage the Key Performance Indicators for his or her responsible area and team
