Job Description The Asset Re-Marketing Sales Manager is responsible to manage, control and maximize the recovery of re-marketed assets at the best cost possible. The incumbent must have a total understanding of the re-marketing process managing the storage, the logistical process, the valuation process and the auctioning of motor vehicles or aviation or corporate vehicles. The incumbents responsible to manage a team and drive the team's performance and delivery. The incumbent must build strong business relationships with the dealers, auctioneers and the customers. The WesBank National Sales Manager is a member of the WesBank Operations and the WesBank Retail Collections Executive Committees. The ARM National Sales Manager is responsible for leading multiple National teams of Asset Remarketing Managers, professionals, outsource providers and staff to execute the Banks distressed asset repossession, stock, auction, and administration strategy and processes. The National sales manager engages with stakeholders across the country, including outsourced teams to safeguard all Bank distressed assets prior to reselling of assets to achieve the best net recovery, thereby reducing the potential impact on losses. The National sales manager is a service provider for Asset Remarketing capabilities for the WesBank commercial and Fleet Management capabilities. The National Sales Manager forms part of the WesBank Outsource management team and has overall accountability for the providing outsource Repossession and Auction service functionalities to Toyota Financial Services and Volkswagen Financial Services. Define and implement a successful asset repossession and remarketing strategy for repossessed assets, including commercial and leisure assets. Establishes best practice stock management and auction capabilities for WesBank and partners across South Africa. Proactive management and consideration to alternate business models including digital auctions and NAV marketplace. Investigate and set up of an end to end auction business for WesBank and partners. Builds and maintains strategic relationships with internal and external parties that enable a successful WesBank Stock and Auction Capability Implement continuous improvement in auction administration that aims to proactively prevent problems from arising. Successfully execute the ARM Business strategy to ensure WesBank &distressed customers achieve the best Net recovery for assets through the asset repossession and auction value chain. National management of the Logistic department that is responsible for the movement of assets, safe keeping of assets and ensuring Natis documents (vehicle registration papers) are for sale. This further entails building and managing a network with logistic and towing companies. Managing the National Sales team that are responsible for hosting an auction (including online auctions) and ensuring the bank received the highest value possible for asset on sale. This includes management of all technology and online platforms to ensure successful delivery of auctions. Managing the National Administration team that is responsible for the registration of customers for auctions, processing of supplier payment, collection and processing of payments and balancing suspense accounts in line with the Bank’s norms. Part of the registration process is to ensure customers are assessed in line with FICA regulations. Establish overall area budget that enables achievement of strategic intent of business. Manage budget to control expenditure and ensure the efficient use of resources. This includes management of the special insurance policy in conjunction with procurement and risk functions. Oversee execution of Proof of Concept (POC’s) in area in line with new business strategies Managing the team that ensures all vehicles are valued in line with the National Credit Act (NCA) and negotiate with lien holders to reduce lien values. This team is also required to inspect vehicles to ascertain its value to establish if it is beneficial to have the vehicle returned to the bank. Remarketing of all assets returned to the bank, including, motor vehicles, motor bikes, caravans, trucks, trailers, yellow metal equipment, office equipment and aeroplanes. Negotiate rates and service level agreements with suppliers and auctioneers. Audit and compliance (Risk factors and other tasks – Sign off of BCP, Planning and changing business continuation functions) Manage performance of teams in areas of responsibility against expected delivery targets in area of accountability Build management team succession plans for critical roles in own area and influence strategic resource planning of area. Build and maintain strategic relationships with the TFS & VWFS executive teams.
