Job Title: Assistant AccountantLocation: Southern Suburbs, Cape Town Job Type: Full-TimeHire Resolve's client in the Investment Management industry is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Responsibilities:Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processesPrepare and review financial statements and reportsReconcile accounts and resolve discrepanciesAssist with budgeting and forecasting processesProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable transactionsAssist with tax preparation and complianceMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactionsAssist with audits and provide supporting documentation as neededOther duties as assigned by the Finance ManagerQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field2 years of experience in accounting or financeProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standardsExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWe offer competitive compensation and benefits, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
