Our Finance Team is looking for a dynamic and extremely capable candidate who has the ability to work both independently and with others. Furthermore, strong communication skills and relationship-building capabilities at all levels will be a great asset. Duties and Responsibilities Record all cash transactions accurately and promptly into the cashbook. Record all cash transactions accurately and promptly into the cashbook. Reconcile cashbook entries with bank statements and other financial documents. Match and reconcile all 3rd party payment control accounts. Ensure all transactions are properly classified and coded. Monitor cash balances and report any discrepancies or irregularities. Prepare relevant schedules for the annual audit. Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial data. Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to internal controls. Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders regarding cash transactions Experience & Qualification A Finance related qualification or studying 2nd or 3rd year towards one (advantageous) A minimum of three years’ experience in finance (advantageous) Strong numerical skills Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel (intermediate to advance) Excellent time management skills Good verbal & written communication skills Strong administration skills Previous exposure to an ERP system Competencies Required Team collaborator & passionate Analytical Accurate & proactive Able to problem solve & self-manage Able to handle pressure well Willing to learn and develop Please note: The Cape Union Mart Group is committed to transformation.
