Our client, a major Actuarial Consultancy in Africa is looking for an Assistant Actuarial Manager to join their Mauritius office. We are looking for a candidate with General Insurance experience and someone who has IFRS 17 experience would have an advantage Qualifications required: Matric Tertiary certification – Good progress with exams – most or all CT exams passed Skills and experience required: 3 to 5 years’ experience in General Insurance, either in pricing, capital modelling or valuations Experience with ORSA’s, valuations and solvency calculations will be beneficial Strong actuarial technical skills Excellent communication skills, work ethic and time management Job description: Calculation and review of technical provisions Capital Modelling Product pricing and design Reinsurance reviews and optimisation Asset liability modelling Expense analyses and profitability assessments Drafting reports and communications Supporting the consulting actuary Actuarial assistance and support on IFR17 projects Performing market studies and research Maintain and improve client relationships Provide technical advice to General Insurance clients across Africa Please consider your application unsuccessful if you have not heard from us within 1 week.
