We are seeking an Assistant Audit Manager who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our audit engagements and contributing to the growth of our firm. Roles & Responsibilities: As our Assistant Audit Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of critical tasks, including: 1. Client Portfolio Management: Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, managing both tax and audit aspects, while fostering strong client relationships. 2. Comprehensive Audit Oversight: Lead all phases of audit engagements, from meticulous planning to efficient execution and reporting. Collaborate closely with the Audit Manager and Partner to communicate findings effectively. 3. Strategic Staff Planning: Skillfully allocate resources and plan staff assignments to optimize engagement outcomes. 4. Thorough Review: Conduct comprehensive reviews of audit files, tax returns, and management reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. 5. Document Excellence: Produce meticulous and high-quality documents, reports, and engagement files that adhere to our firm's standards. 6. Financial Statement Preparation: Expertly prepare annual financial statements in alignment with IFRS for SMEs, showcasing your proficiency in financial reporting. 7. Team Leadership: Provide daily supervision, guidance, and leadership to audit staff and teams, nurturing a collaborative and productive work environment. 8. Mentoring & Coaching: Develop, coach, and mentor junior audit staff, offering guidance and support while conducting performance reviews. 9. Client Relationship Management: Liaise with clients, maintaining clear communication and delivering outstanding service, thereby enhancing the firm's reputation. 10. Management Reporting: Prepare insightful management reports highlighting key findings and recommendations. 11. Progress Updates: Regularly update progress reports and relevant documentation, ensuring timely and transparent communication. 12. Budget Oversight: Prepare and monitor audit budgets, ensuring efficient engagements within financial constraints. 13. Trainee Development: Assess trainees using the SAICA EAT system, contributing to their growth and development. 14. Administrative Approval: Review and approve trainee timesheets, overtime, expense claims, and leave forms, showcasing your attention to detail. 15. Ancillary Duties: Contribute to the firm's smooth operation by taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
