Assistant Farm Manager - Stellenbosch
An established poultry and fruit farm in Simondium currently has the above-mentioned vacancy. This position is ideal for a committed, dynamic person looking for career stability. The ideal candidate is an experienced, proactive individual who is practically inclined, enjoys working with people and getting their hands dirty.
Responsibilities include:
- Assistance with poultry and fruit farm management and all relevant activities
- Personnel management
- Practical tasks (welding, maintenance etc.)
- Production planning and monitoring
- Stock management and purchases
- Manage / oversee facilities and infrastructure
- Report and provide feedback w.r.t. production information
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification will be beneficial
- Practical experience in a poultry production environment
- Minimum 5 years farming experience (preferably poultry)
- Excellent communication skills (English and Afrikaans)
- Outstanding organisational and planning skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Professional administrative and computer skills
