Our client based in Port Edward Island Canada is looking for an Assistant Farm Manager and a Farm Supervisor. Management of staff Allocating tasks for the day to labor Supervising and assisting in all stages of crop production and harvesting Managing pest, disease and weed control programmes, commensurate with hygiene and health standards Manage crop nutrition programmes and target dates Ensure proper harvesting procedures are followed Analyzing yields, operational costs, and financial returns of horticultural operations Identify technical land business problems, investigating the causes and formulating solutions Preparing new or modified operational jobs and plans Managing produce supply chain systems and supporting infrastructure for processing, storage, and transport of produce Organizing presentations, technical visits, and demonstrations Ensuring that production audit (s) requirements, hygiene, health and safety and employment standards and regulations are met Communicating effectively with customers and working colleagues Performing essential administration, including records, budgets, and accounts Keeping up to date developments in the whole agriculture sector Preparing weekly activity reports and monthly production reports Degree in Agriculture or equivalent Experience in Potatoes and Sweet Potatoes Must understand the commercial aspect of Potato farming i.e. capital proposals, presentations and audits Management experience Valid Passport If you have not heard from us within 2 weeks, we regret you have been unsuccessful Base salary incentives company vehicle Relocation costs will be covered by the company
