A well-established multinational Financial Services company operating in the insurancesector is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join their Fund finance team. The role is toprovide support for the financial management function. this will involve investigating, analysingand reporting on transactional data and information as the company continues its stronggrowth. Excellent growth opportunities to develop into a long-term career. Oversee the accounting activities to ensure accurate and compliant reporting. Assist with the preparation of Fund financial statements and commentary to relevant stakeholders. Ensure compliance with regulations. Review of monthly and quarterly fund statements. Deliver on ad hoc requests from group finance and business in a timeous manner. Assume responsibility for relevant input to finance work streams. Continuously adhere to and develop all existing policies, procedures, and systems. Be a trusted advisor to the business. Direct, monitor, manage and support the team in delivering on agreed performance and strategic goals. Qualified CA (SA) 2-4 years post articles experience. Strong business acumen and pragmatism. Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a team and knowledge sharing environment. Proficiency in accounting software as well as Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and ability to scrutinise and work with large amounts of data. A good understand of systems and controls. A knowledge of the automation of financial systems and processes (working with and implementation of) is advantageous. Market Related based on experience.
